U ARE LOVED STORIES

Hello from Fr. John from Oregon!

Hello and Welcome to the page where you can share with me and the whole world your "You are Loved" story. The purpose here is for you to share a real life story where the words "You are loved" were used. Please do not send forwards here or stories you are getting sent via the Internet. I want your PERSONAL urlvd story. What does that mean? I ONLY want stories that you have seen, heard or somehow experienced where the words, "YOU ARE LOVED" have been used. I hope to hear from all of you and I might even make a book out of these stories someday! Welcome aboard! If you want, feel free to leave your name and contact info at the end of the story. Then we can be more connected in God's love all around this earth! Fr. John

If you know me, you know my life-message.  I say it every day.  For me, there is nothing more important to say.  I want all people I meet to know God deeply and relentlessly loves them.  I want people to know that God is incapable of doing anything other than loving each one of us.  So, my life-message is "You are loved."   When someone asks me what time it is I say, "It is __________(the time) and You are loved.  Why?  Because we are always loved by God and this is the deepest meaning and joy of our lives.  But to make our joy complete, we must share the love and so I ask you to tell the people in your life that they are loved.

I have so many neat, wonderful and powerful "You are loved" stories that others have shared with me or I have personally experienced. Here is one.

About 15 years ago I took some high school kids to a youth conference in Seattle.  On Saturday night, one of the kids whom I did not know very well, opened up to me about a painful home life.  I listened to her story and we finished with a prayer.  Frankly, I was a little surprised why she had opened up to me about her tough situation and asked her why.  I will never forget her response.  She said, "You told me I was loved and I never hear that."  My heart sunk.  At the same time, I vowed to be vigilant in telling and showing as many people as I could that they are loved.
